i had the feeling i was just matter randomly collected and reused and identity was just a bug and not a feature and vanity is like the way a spider flinches as i clean the house and use up use up every bit of surface and use up use up someone else's time and use up use up all the oxygen and get used up used up
did you consider the most obvious and simplest explanation first? then what's the matter why the long face? disintegration comes either way
i made an effort to commune with all the spiders in the room and waited for the words to come along
i made an effort to dispose of all the contents in the room and the cluttered hall and made the house into a terminal for objects on the move from place to place and use to random use

it's been awhile since the last repeat i barely recall
new world but the same conceit i'm just catching on
recognize faces and eyes and tailor-made news
i was trying hard to find a fix and came to
old world feels like a dream fades out to the alarm
i take solace in my inability to foresee
i take pride in my ability to concede
the monetized and digitized will be your best friend
sanitized and tranquilized until the very end
new world feels like a dream i can't wake up from
taken to the extreme the buzzards are circling the cameras see everything i am
all this has gone to waste i can't remember her face i've given it everything i can

my children they trust me so but i admit that i'm lost
the road stopped being a road after a dozen forks
and i stopped long ago trying to keep track of every sign and number and front from back
oh it's like we never stop claiming plans from happenstance and making things up
we thought we took out the roots but the tree eventually grew back in the middle of february when i got your message back
i was out on a run circling a quarter mile track when i stopped to check my phone and i read how your father had passed and you didn't know how to react
oh we never stop happening
